Tapping experience and innovation to meet our customers' needs

Maritime Business Experience

Musasino has been developing marine equipment for over 60 years. It was in 1965 that we developed our magnetic float type level gauge called Level Master. With the implementation of the Marine Pollution Prevention Act, the first Level Master gauge was installed aboard a VLCC in 1975. Nineteen ninety-eight saw us complete the in-house development of our radar type level gauge Level Echo.

Over the years we have driven ourselves to provide level gauges and services that meet or exceed our customers' requirements. Furthermore, in the past few years we have taken advantage of innovations in information technology to migrate to simpler system architectures in order to even better meet our customers' expectations, as well as those of the market.

System-based Structure

Musasino started our move into a system-based structure from a small scale magnetic float type level gauge system. Since then, we have expanded the system to incorporate signals from independent alarms, ballast tank level gauges, temperature gauges, pressure gauges and other related sensing equipment. At the same time we have developed the capability to integrate a wider range of control systems using signals from cargo and ballast valves.

Our current cargo handling support systems for chemical and product tankers package all of these sensing and control functions together, which allows operators to monitor and control the system from a single interface.

As we move forward, we will continue developing equipment and systems from the perspective of safe and efficient cargo operations and which continue to meet our customers' requirements.

We will do this by:

  1. 1. Improving operability through a multitask interface
  2. 2. Integration of information from cargo operations-related equipment
  3. 3. Simplification and scalability of system architecture
  4. 4. Improving device and system maintainability
