Remote Automation of Slop Tank Cleaning and Discharge
With the “Slop Tank Automatic Cleaning and Discharge System,” cleaning and water discharge tasks can be remotely operated from the cargo control room, reducing the need for external work and improving safety. Additionally, tasks previously requiring two crew members can now be performed by one, cutting operation time from about one hour to under five minutes. As a result, cleaning tasks—which are considered overtime—can be reduced from 36 hours annually to just 1.5 hours, significantly easing the burden on crew members.
